This fabric is produced 100% based on Polypropylene. The process consists of the extrusion of long and continuous polypropylene multifilaments, which are formed by extruding the polymer in an endless screw, creating a molten paste through friction and temperature. The molten polymer is subsequently passed through a rectangular head with thousands of minimum holes where continuous filaments are formed, which are abruptly cooled in a chamber and randomly oriented on a conveyor belt, which carries said layer of filaments to a calender in where through pressure and temperature the threads are heat sealed, forming the fabric with the required dimensional stability. It has excellent mechanical properties and good air permeability.
