Product Description

The BIRS-C6 Rapid Steam Biological Indicator has been developed for effective monitoring of steam sterilization processes at 121 °C or 134 °C. It provides reliable results in 180 minutes or less when used with the BIREADER TecSpores® incubator, allowing validation of sterilization cycles through fluorescence detection.

Designed to offer traceability, speed, and high sensitivity, the BIRS-C6 is an essential tool to release sterilized materials faster without compromising safety or process effectiveness.

Instructions for Use

Activate the BIRS-C6 rapid biological indicator together with an unprocessed control using the TecSpores breaker.
Place both in the BI Reader incubator.
Select the correct channel and start the “STEAM 180 min” program.
At the end, the display will show:

“+” if sterilization was insufficient.
“–” if sterilization was successful.

The unprocessed indicator must show “+” to validate the incubation process.

Storage and Recommendations
