The rapid biological indicator for steam BIRS-C6 is designed to quickly monitor sterilization cycles at 121°C–134°C. When incubated in the BIREADER TecSpores®, it delivers reliable results within 180 minutes or less using fluorescence detection, enabling faster release of sterilized items.

How to Use the Rapid Biological Indicator for Steam
Activate the rapid BI together with an unprocessed BI using the TecSpores breaker. Place the BI into the BIREADER incubator, which will auto-recognize it. Select the “STEAM 180 min” program and wait for the result:
“+”means insufficient sterilization“-”means successful sterilization
The unprocessed BI must show “+” to confirm correct incubation.
