DOT LABEL STERILIZATION INDICATOR FOR ETHYLENE OXIDE (EO)
These circular self-adhesive labels are specifically designed to identify packs and materials undergoing Ethylene Oxide (EO) sterilization processes. They provide a clear and distinct color change, facilitating visual control and traceability of medical supplies.
Technical Features:
Dimensions: 15 mm diameter circular label.
Compatibility: Designed for manual application or use with standard labeling machines.
Material: Made of 60-70 g high-quality paper with reinforced high-tack adhesive for excellent adhesion and cohesion.
Sensitive Ink: Full-surface printing with the inscription “GREEN IS EO EXPOSED”. The color changes from violet to green upon effective sterilization.
Ink Specifications (ISO 11140-1):
The reactive ink is calibrated to respond to critical process conditions:
EO Concentration: $600 mg/L (±30 mg/L)$
Temperature: $37°C (±1°C)$
Relative Humidity: $60\% (±10\%)$
Minimum Exposure Time: 30 minutes (±30 sec).
Presentation and Storage:
Supplied in rolls of 1000 labels, protected in a laminated aluminum ZIPPER pouch (doypack type, 100 microns). This specialized packaging ensures label integrity against light and moisture. The product has a shelf life of 60 months.
Usage and Precautions:
Apply the label to the outside of the package. After the cycle, the change to green confirms gas exposure. Important: Once exposed, the label must be kept in a dark place, as it is light-sensitive. Use exclusively for Ethylene Oxide sterilization processes.
